The Maple Ridge Concert Band is an active community organized musical band that has welcomed many adult and student musicians since 1946.  Conducted by Ed Dumas, they are readily seen performing at local parades, Remembrance Day, hospital and community events, Canada Day and the ever popular Twilight Tuesdays in the bandstand.

One of their band members was inspired by lovely bandstand settings, and a goal was set to build an outdoor venue to perform in.  In 1994, a bandstand was built by members of the Maple Ridge Concert Band and donated to the people of Maple Ridge to enjoy for many years.

Future plans include hosting a band festival similar to this venue.
