DIRECTORS
A
ten person Board of Directors elected each year by the membership manages
the Delta Music Makers Community Band Society. The Board the elects
a President; Vice-President; Treasurer; Recording Secretary,
Correspondence Secretary and a Music Director. The Music Director
generally serves as the Board Chairman, with four members at large.
The organization is registered as a non-profit, recording society, and has
applied for Federal tax exemption status.
MUSIC DIRECTOR
Founder and resident music director, Mr. Curt Jantzen, is the fine arts
coordinator for the Surrey School District. He has a Bachelor of
Education degree and a Master of Education Administration, from the
University of British Columbia. Over the past 30 years, he has
taught extensively at elementary, secondary and post-secondary
levels. He frequently conducts clinics and workshops at music
conferences throughout North America and is the co-chairman of the Surrey
Jazz Festival.
